Now, the air is run through heat exchangers where it is cooled to cryogenic temperatures.   After being cryogenically cooled, it is directed into a high pressure distillation column where it nitrogen is distilled at the bottom. Distillation is continued till it meets the specifications of medical and industrial applications.
